STACY SIPPLE: SAVE BOCA ENDORSED CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL

WHO IS STACY?

Stacy is the 4th generation of her family to proudly call Boca Raton home. Stacy was born, raised and has lived here for the better part of 50 years. In the footsteps of her grandfather, who was the 2nd pharmacist in our great city, Stacy returned to work in Boca, as a clinical pharmacist, after graduating from Auburn University. For over 30 years, she has been serving our residents and assisting them with their healthcare needs and concerns. The roots run deep.

Stacy has been married to her best friend Patrick for almost 25 years. Together they have raised two daughters, who both proudly graduated from the same high school as their mom, Boca Raton Community High School. Go Bobcats! Their family has also rescued and raised many four-legged family members, some of which have gone on to a life of service, for people in need.

Stacy has been active in healthcare fairs, immunization clinics and providing resources for those in need. An animal lover, she is constantly raising money for animal charities and assisting in matching shelter dogs and cats with caring owners and safe homes. Moose is the newest 70 pound, rescued addition to the family.

BOCA THROUGH THE YEARS

Boca Raton has undergone many changes throughout the last 50 years. The changes to our quaint town, by the sea, have completely altered almost every aspect of our daily lives. Our residents are now looking back and wondering if this is the direction they wanted Boca Raton to move towards. We are now sitting at a crossroads, where the projects are getting larger and the congestion is getting worse, while our mayor says on television “We are not Fort Lauderdale, we are not Miami. We don’t want to be.” Yet, here we are becoming everything we proclaimed we were not.

We have elected officials and have given them much leeway in performing their duties. These projects have been approved one after the other, with excessive variances, while public land is being pulled out from under our feet and used as a bartering chip, instead of the projects it should be used for. Memorial Park is a prime example. Our city council has not been working to protect the best interests of the citizens. They have been representing the developers and their interests. It’s time to give the voice of the city back to the residents and take an approach to development that follows what we in the medical profession would say “first do no harm.”

WHY STACY?

I have spent the majority of my life working in a field that represents empathy, honesty, integrity, transparency with ethical decision making and a clear moral compass. I am bound by oaths and laws, that ensure my patients receive what is best physically, mentally and in many cases financially. I will take that same approach with the city council. I want what is best for our residents, that are my neighbors and my friends. I want to see these same traits highlighted in a council that actually represents its constituents and where these same residents feel comfortable sharing their opinions, concerns and dreams with us. I want to make Boca Raton a hometown again, not a huge Fort Lauderdale and not a congested Miami. I want families to put roots down here and I want them to run deep.
