Download, Print and Begin Collecting Signatures to Guarantee Our Right to Vote

The politicians in city hall have teamed up with the Miami Developers and are playing dirty tricks because they know exactly how the citizens of Boca will vote. What we are doing is to guarantee that the people will have the ability to vote and this is the only way to ensure that.  The City Charter has granted us that power and we intend to collect the signatures necessary to secure that our vote won’t be taken away from us.

Please help us collect signatures to guarantee that we will vote on the Downtown Lease. Anybody can collect signatures and help Save Boca — you just need to download the form, print, and begin collecting signatures.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Download the form above by clicking on the link, print out the (2) pages, and staple the two pages together with the signature page first and the page with the law behind it. The two pages must be stapled together.

2) Make sure signers are registered voters in the City of Boca Raton. Have everybody sign the way they do on their driver’s license. Make sure all information on the sheet is filled out. Make sure zip codes are included with all addresses and everybody puts in the date signed, which is the last column.

3) Please collect the 11 signatures on the signature page and complete many signature pages if possible. Do not fill out anything in the box at the bottom. We are at the Downtown Library (400 NW 2nd Ave) every weekend from 9AM - 5PM. Please drop off the forms to us there. When dropped off, each petition circulator (the person who collected the signatures) will sign the affidavit in the box at the bottom with a notary present.

4) This is time sensitive and we need all forms dropped off in 10 days, the weekend of February 7th and 8th.

5) Please collect as many signatures as possible in the next 10 days

Yesterday, the city lawyer stated that signatures have already been made on the contract with the developer, prior to the vote of the public. The reason why there is text crossed off on the second page is because we are crossing off the ordinance they have passed and the contract they’ve signed, prior to our vote, and sending it back to the council for reconsideration. If they do not repeal what they have done, then it automatically triggers our right to vote on this, which is a power granted to us provided by the City Charter of Boca Raton.

Please begin collecting and see you (hopefully with many signatures) the weekend of February 7th and 8th at the Downtown Library (400 NW 2nd Ave) between 9:00AM and 5:00PM

Hundreds have already signed and we are on a tight deadline as we only have 30 days to submit the signatures. Please get as many signatures collected and submit to us at the Downtown Library Saturday or Sunday, February 7th or 8th, from 9AM - 5PM. We will be there all day.
